Using Content Object Symbols

The Content Library contains blocks of reusable content, called Content Objects, that you can use in your mailings. There are several ways to do this:

  • Click Insert Content Object, select a content object, and click Insert.
  • If you know the nine-digit Content Object identification number, use it as a symbol with the first digit preceded by a pound sign (#). For example:

    _#282441300__

  • Define a symbol in the Symbols tab and use it in the content. See Specifying Symbol Data Type for instructions on how to:
    • Create a symbol of type String Constant or String Case and enter the symbol number the same way (preceded with a pound sign).
    • Create a symbol of type Content Constant or Content Case and use the Content Object icon to choose a object from the Content Library.

    • Create a symbol of type Custom that uses rules to include Content Objects.

See the Content Library 7.0 User's Guide for more information about using content objects.
