Obtain a Vertica License Key

Obtaining a License Key File

1. Go to http://www.vertica.com/support and follow the instructions there. You will be given download access to a file whose name includes your organization and the date the license was requested.
2. Download the license key file to the Administration Host. Place the file in the directory /tmp with the filename vlicense.key.

After you have installed Vertica, you will install the license key as described in Installing Your License Key.
