Viewing the Status of a Cell

You can quickly check the status of a cell.

  1. Go to the Mailing: mailing name page.
  2. Locate the cell whose status you want and look at the value in the Status column.

The possible values for Status are the following:

Status

Description

New

Still in the process of being created.

Proof Mailing

Has been submitted to the Proof recipients for review and is in the process of mailing. You cannot edit the cell again until the proofs have completed mailing.

Proof Mailed

Proofs have been sent to the Proof recipients. If you edit the cell at or beyond the Proofing status, you must re-send the mailing to the Proof list for approval. If there are no further changes, you are ready to send the mailing.

Scheduled

Has been approved by the Proofing list and marked as "OK to Send." This mailing is in queue for delivery at the drop date/time you specified. If you specified the drop date/time as the current time, the mailing is in the Scheduled status for a brief time.

Mailing

In the process of being sent by e-Dialog's mail servers. This happens when:

  • Sending the campaign immediately by setting the drop date/time to the current time. In this case, the campaign begins mailing when you click OK to Send.
  • The drop date/time is reached for mailings scheduled in the future.

Mailed

Has been completely sent. Once mailed, you can perform no further actions. This campaign becomes view-only. At this point, a report on the mailing is available in eReports.

On Hold

There is an issue with this campaign, which could be related to errors in content or configuration issues.

Cancel Requested

Has been slated for cancellation. It typically takes less than five minutes for the system to cancel the mailing and to give it a Canceled status.

Canceled

Has been canceled. Once canceled, the mailing becomes view-only and cannot be rescheduled. However, you can clone the campaign to use its content again.

Quick Test Processing

The e-mail engine is configuring test cells, splitting the export file, and/or building file samples for the newly created cells.

Phase 1 Complete

The Quick Test is ready to send the chosen version to the remainder of the audience.

Quick Test Finished

The Quick Test has finished. (Applies to master cell only.) The status of the "winning" version (cloned cell) changes from Setup to Mailing to Mailed.

Quick Test Failed

There was an unexpected error, most likely in the merge process. Contact support.
