Vertica now reports low disk space conditions in a more timely and accurate manner, so that the issue can be analyzed and addressed before problems occur.
Are low disk space warning/error messages written to vertica.log? If so, exact message text, etc. is required to complete this.
Does this improvement affect the behavior of the VT_DISK_STORAGE table in any way?
Some disk space shortages are more critical than others. For example, running out of catalog space is fatal but running out of temporary space in query execution rolls back the current transaction.
Does this mean that critical shortages are reported earlier?
Or does it mean that Tech Support can adjust the notification parameters?
