Using the Navigation Bar

Each content page has a navigation bar that looks something like this:

Getting Oriented

When you jump to a specific page, there is no visual indication of where that page is located within the table of contents. To find the location of the page, click the UP button one or more times. Each time you click the UP button, you go to the "parent" of the page you are reading. Eventually, you arrive at a chapter title or book title page.

A future release of Vertica may contain true "breadcrumbs" navigation along with the ability to bookmark each content page for future reference.
