I love teaching people how to use computers, even those who don't yet own a computer and know nothing at all about them. Over the years, I've met many people who can benefit tremendously from using a personal computer but have never gotten started. Older people in particular often have a fear of wasting money on something too complicated to learn or messing it up beyond repair. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The single most common obstacle I've encountered is the fear of making mistakes. We're all human and everyone makes mistakes, but with the right instruction you would have to work very hard to make a mistake that can't be undone. Don't let fear hold you back! All you need is the willingness to learn and you're never too old. We'll work at your pace and I'll do whatever I can to make you feel comfortable every step of the way. You can ask me any question on any topic. I'm completely non-judgmental and you can trust me to keep our relationship in the strictest confidence.

I can help you buy a computer, fix the one you have, or install hardware and software upgrades. I can make an old computer run like a new computer by installing a solid-state drive (SSD).

I can teach you how to use email, find information on the Internet, get terrific bargains on purchases, stay safe from malware (including ransomware), register a personal domain name, or build a great-looking personal or business website. I can professionally edit your written content and photographs.

Give me a call or use the Contact Form. Your first ten minutes are free! After that the charge is $25 for 30 minutes.* If I can't help you learn or solve your problem you pay nothing.

I can work with you on the phone and with a remote login on your computer. Until the pandemic is over, I can't do in-person instruction.

* I'm not yet set up to take credit cards.
